Right now, no. 1 pet peeve is dubbing.

Studio Ghibli's "Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind" is on. Animes on SBS are usually subbed, but for some reason this is dubbed. Dubbed. Unbelievable.

I yearn for the day they will show the more recent Ghibli productions with original Japanese audio. Dubbing creeps me out. Even though Christian Bale did do a better job as Howl than Kimura...in a way. *sigh*

omg. the girl who voices the princess. she's soooo bad. she's reading from a script--not voice acting. she could do with a few lessons.

I moved yesterday. The new room didn't have an ethernet cord, so I was without internet for a day. Gomen, noirfleur! Didn't mean to ignore u on msn!!

Something is always lost in the process of moving. At least this time, it was something small: a spoon. I thought I lost my ID as well (taihen!!) but luckily, found it later. That's why I hate moving: I hate the idea of losing stuff.

Fangirl response: make Arashi go on a world tour... and use that as an excuse for my own trip around the orld. With tickets to all their cons, of course! And a backstage pass...

Just me, normally: make people see the world from other people's shoes. Conflict spices things up, but wars burn them. Just the right amount of understanding will keep life sweet.

I know, I know, I've blogged about this already...but I can't help it! I'm bored!

I have an 'assessment' next week, and really should be doing case notes/analysis and stuff like that, but Arashi has this irresistable appeal! The more I read, the more I want to read. Not to mention, there isn't much of a night life (or life, for that matter) where I am at the moment...Must resist temptation of going on Vox for the rest of today...

Residence internet is still a bum at 7c a megabyte of download, but the other options are still more expensive...unless I sign on a 24 month contract for satellite internet...ah well, will wait for Unwired to cover my area, which should be soon! Unwired, do u hear me????

Anyway, I still managed to get some things done...I think...so today wasn't exactly a full waste of time...

Sorry about the completely random post. I'm obviously not in the right mind at the moment.

Ever since I moved out of home and into a college residence, I've become really bored.

I dunno, it's this strange feeling of having nothing to do, nothing to watch, nothing to listen to, and it's definitely not homesickess. And the residence, being new, hasn't got the same level of activity you may expect from more established university resident halls. I really like it, in all honesty, but it's just that...I've got nothing to do!

Yeah, there are the lectures, and classes, and homework, but it's usually done quite quickly, since I've got no reason to procrastinate. When I was living at home, the computer wasn't just something I used to do my homework on, or to print off notes and slides and so on, it was also a 'hub of activity'--- usually downloading some Arashi-related file, a radio show, or dorama, or TV show, or something...and since I'm now being charged for downloading (a massive 7c per megabyte!] it means a 200Mb avi file becomes rather expensive ($14!).

Maybe that's why I'm so bored. I'm deprived of Arashi and JDrama goodness.
