Well, that's it! My first Arashi fanfic finished. Thanks for reading!
A special note of thanks to Hikari-chan, who beta-ed everything and kept me motivated. Couldn't have done it without you, girl. *glomps*
Thanks also to everyone who commented, either publicly or by PM. The feedback meant a lot to me. *hugs* And to the silent readers, thank you, even though I don't know who you are.
In 2 weeks the fanfic chapters will be f-locked on LJ, and the links will be neighbourhood-locked. I'm a bit concerned as some sites have the fic on their sites (um, what has this fic got anything to do with Tokyo Hotels?), so please leave a comment here if you want to be added and continue accessing the fic. I'm very, very sorry about the inconvenience. m(__)m
That doesn't mean everything's over, though!
...is now up because I don't feel like studying. Even though I have a submission to write and a quiz to prepare for. Meh, fanfic is much more interesting.
Anyway, Mama knows best. So I better be off and study for a couple of hours.
Comments are <3. I'm running low for the next (final!) chapter. Which will be the last bit of fanfic I'll write, until after exams.
This one's a bit more "experimental" in terms of style, I hope you guys don't mind. Inspiration hit me one night, and I stayed up til 5am writing this, for some random unknown reason. So please forgive any spelling/grammar mistakes, even though it's pretty much edited.
I was also pretty depressed (for some incomprehensible reason) and was bawling my eyes out while I wrote this. Not because of what's in the chapter, though. I just...wanted to cry? *shrugs*
BTW, the 'adaptations' of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid are mine, based on the translation on www.andersen.sdu.dk.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it. I'll probably finish this before the November hiatus. Which means I can do exams without thinking about Yuuki's next moves.
I'm sorry this chapter took so long. m(__)m
Unfortunately, updates will probably be around the same pace from now on (one chapter a week) or even slower, for the next month or so. It's end of semester and exams are looming. Gomen ne!
Anyway, here it is, the second half of the party. And yes, Yuuki is frigid. XD
Still can't believe I made it this far. And that people are reading! I love you guys.
Updates will be a bit slower from now on. Gomen!
I can't stop. *gets shot*
"No way." Nino muttered. "Maji ka yo? There's no way I'm going in there."
"Aww, come on, Nino-chan, I've always wanted to visit one!" Yuuki begged.
"No. There's a good reason as to why I've never gone to one, even though I come to Akihabara all the time." Nino argued back.
"Demo…I've always wanted to go to a café in Akihabara..." Yuuki pouted, with puppy eyes.
"Aah, Nino-chan, what's the harm? It's just a café." Aiba said.
Yuuki smiled. "Sou yo, it's only a café! Come on, Nino!" She grabbed one of his arms, and started dragging him towards the entrance, despite his protests.
"It's not just a café! It's a—"
Too late. The party of three were already inside.
I can't believe I managed to get to double digits.
Disclaimer: The Hot Spot and Kato-san are Hikari creations. I'm only borrowing. Hope you don't mind!
I also do not own any of the Johnnys mentioned in the chapter. In actual fact, I don't own any Johnnys, full stop/period.
Follow the fake cut to the full chapter.
Enjoy!
Aiba was leaning over the ledge, his gaze fixed on a certain girl wearing a dark grey top, who was smiling and greeting everyone she knew, or was introduced to. His eyes followed her every move, unbeknownst to her; every nod, every sip, every flick of her hair, every smile… Though she was still Yuuki, something had changed about her aura, about her as a person, yet Aiba could not name what it was. He watched as Yamapi made his way to Yuuki, and as they returned each others' smiles. Though the music was at a deafening volume, he heard nothing but the silence in his head. Aiba couldn't turn his eyes away from Yuuki, the way she held up one fist and ready to hit Yamapi in the chest for something he whispered against her ear, and felt a pang in his heart when Yamapi grabbed her wrist, pulled her towards him, and wrapped an arm possessively around her shoulders. His eyes burned, fury built up in his chest, and Aiba forced himself to turn away from the railing. Unable to take any more, he picked up his jacket and made his way out of the room.
"Where are you going, Aiba-chan?"
I know I promised no more DoS chapters, but I couldn't help myself. *runs for cover*
"You must be Yuuki." Johnny Kitagawa stated, without so much as looking up from the document he was reading to get a look of the girl. "Sit down."
She sat, gingerly, afraid to make so much as a sound. Yuuki waited quietly as Johnny finished reading the document, and signed at the bottom of the page.
"Right. I'm sure you know why you're here, Yuuki." Johnny started. "What do you want? Money? A job? My approval to marry one of them? Just name it."
Yuuki frowned. "I'm sorry, I actually don't want any of those things. As to why I'm here, I'm sure you wouldn't mind telling me the reason, Mr Kitagawa?"
He opened the drawer and took out some photographs. "These."
Yuuki took them with shaking fingers, for a closer look. There were four grainy shots of her: one of Tomohisa piggybacking her, another of her with Aiba at Cuddly Dominion, a third of Nino and her peering at what looked like a DS, and the last was fishing with Ohno. Her eyes widened in surprise as she grasped the old man's meaning. "Mr Kitagawa, I'm not—"
"Oh, cut me the crap. Of course you're not the kind of girl I think you are—you'd never admit to that. But in the end you guys just all want the same thing. So just give me a figure. How much will it cost me to shut you up and make sure that you won't see any of them again?" He took out his cheque book, and held the Montblanc pen in his hand.
