You've created a storm in the world. I hope that in the years to come, the storm will only get bigger and bigger, and you will all rise higher and higher on the ever-increasing waves of success.
Congratulations, Arashi. And may there be many, many more decades of happiness to come. =]
For your amusement only.
From Yahoo TW:
Apparantly some of us don't like Jun's new hair... makes him look like "Monkey King" Sun Goku/ Sun Wukong, others say he looks like a carpenter (?). Other fans think he looks just great. But according to the report, Jun being the hime he is, he might get a new 'do soon.
In other news, NEWS members got "attacked" by fans at their cons; ambulance was called to one concert after fears that a kid ran loose and made their way to one of the many, many mechanical contraptions. Oh, and members lost their rings too, coz fans had good grip and didn't want to let go of their arms.
I don't want to study......
So last thursday, one of the radio channels played Niji no Kanata e during the Asian Pop Show (they've played Arashi for every show for the past...4 weeks?). Anyway, here's the "recording". I had to record on my camera, thus the sound being so soft and random flashes of my mobile. ^^;
Now, onto the picspam:
This is from a little day trip to the art gallery a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't take any pictures outside, so pics of the great outdoors only. See if you can spot which one is the actual art gallery.
And extra points if you can name the other buildings.
Ah, that was such a crisp autumn day...
More catchup photos:
Onigiri, curry rice and yakisoba from weeks ago...
And something more random: this black sesame/genmai drink from Okinawa I got... dunno why I snapped so many photos of it. Think cuteness had something to do with it...
The bottle's still around. It's really cute. The drink...wasn't as nice as I expected.
Anyway, you'll be glad that this is the end of this round of randomness. Sorry if I bored you.
Right. So Arashi will be touring Asia again (yay!), and stopping in my 'second home' Shanghai and 'almost second home' Taipei. Naturally, one would check TW news to 'verify' this piece of information. I wasn't disappointed.
Arashi welcoming their 10th anniversary with a concert in Taiwan for the second time
From Yahoo TW!
This year, the Johnnys group coming to Taiwan for a concert is the group welcoming their 10th year, Arashi! After their success in stepping outside Japan in 2006, Arashi has decided to have a second Asia tour, and this time, apart from a stop in Taipei in October, they'll tour also the cities of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Seoul in November, expecting to meet around 173 thousand fans, which will set the record as the biggest Asian concert tour by any Johnny's group.
During their concert at Tokyo Dome on 15th, Arashi announced that they'll challenge the National Stadium with capacity for over 70 thousand people on the 5th September, marking the start of their Asian tour. They'll become the third group after SMAP and Dreams Come True to hold a concert at the National Stadium. All 5 members are very excited to greet their 10th year and also second Asia tour, and expect that it will be a most fantastic experience.
As for Sakurai Sho, who injured his right thumb during rehearsals for the group's Nagoya concert, he has said that his injury has healed considerably, and has expressed his wonder at the speed of recovery. His comments has given his fans massive relief. As for the group's upcoming plans, apart from the release of "One Love" on the 25th, a new photobook of their Tokyo Dome concert is set to be released on September 3rd. Fans will need to start budgeting, or else their wallets may not withstand the power of this coming storm yo!
===============================================================================
Might I point out that in the first paragraph, in between Shanghai and Seoul, THEY'VE LISTED HONG KONG AS A DESTINATION?!?!?
*massively hoping that it'll be the END of November this time*
Oh, and proper crediting will be appreciated if you do decide to repost. This translation is mine. Which is why it's, well, crap.
Taking a leaf out of Matsubunny and Nanao's books, I've made a new group for Arashi fans in Australia on vox.
It'd be great if we can use our collective power and gather up a storm in Ozland! Yoroshiku~
Please don't forget to also join the Australia and New Zealand Arashi Fan Club! We're eagerly awaiting for your membership yo! Looks like the website is currently down, will try and see what I can do!
I haven't done one of these for a while.
Okay, so as Mum and I drove our way home (from my uni), she requested for Arashi songs again. I'll convert her, definitely. With just Arashi songs. Even though she says she only wants to listen coz the songs in the car stereo have been played a million times already.
Found out Dad really likes the Pan-kun and James corner of Tensai Shimura Doubutsuen. Since bakawaii Aiba-chan is in it, it shouldn't be a problem slowly converting him into a fanboy...I hope... Ba-chan would be too cute, and the stuff Arashi gets up to in their shows and cons and everything else will remind him of his younger days...he'll love them eventually.
And the first con I go to this year may not be an Arashi con!!! How did I let that happen? How could it happen?!
Just watched this week's MMA talk...and the preview for next ep:

Eeh?! My Jun-baby getting bum-smacked?
After watching MMA #110 countless times, I wanted to try that nikujaga korokke so much...that I actually made it. It took me 2 days...2 DAYS! (Well, coz the bread needs to be crumbed...since I couldn't find premade breadcrumbs...)
Everything was fine until...I decided to crumb the brioche as well...and it burned as it was being 'dried' (i.e. toasted). So my croquettes basically failed...visual wise. But it tastes pretty good!
Since I've finished Hero and Yasashii Jikan, next series on the list is Yoiko no Mikata. Sho is chou kawaii~~~!!!! Taiyou-sensei is so completely different to Mimura, and mochiron, different to Bambi (from Kisarazu Cats' Eye, of course). He is so adorable! Yabai...I'm turning into a Sho fan...
I remember someone saying that they were jealous of Inoue Mao...well, Fukiishi Kazue has it one better. Here's a list of Arashi dramas she appeared in:
1. pPoi: the one with Yamapi and Aiba...she played a supporting role, a scary, kendo-driven school girl
2. Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo (The Files of Young Kindaichi): Jun as Kindaichi; played a blackmailed model who was forced to 'murder' someone
3. Yoiko no Mikata: supporting Sho-kun's bright and cheery Taiyou-sensei, she played Minako-sensei.
4. Bambi~no!: Jun again...She plays Eri, Ban's girlfriend from Hakata
5. Yamada Taro Monogatari: Nino and Sho as top-performing students in the Elite class, she plays their homeroom teacher Torii Kyoko.
It's not fair, ne? She has worked with 4 out of 5 members (not sure if she has done any butais...), I want my share of Arashi too! To see them in the flesh...such a faraway dream atm...
Anyway, it's back to my (hamburger-looking) nikujaga korokke...and whatever else I'm having for dinner tonight. And Taiyou-sensei! =D
Yep, it's that again.
So yeah, after the first request by Mum to listen to Arashi in the car, she's now willing to watch JDrama again. Only because she's finished the mountain of Chinese and Korean dramas, and running out of things to watch. So I'm going to start her on Haikei...and then HanaDan...then probably some 'fillers' like Liar Game and ProDai until Yamada Taro finishes.
Next target: Dad.
Target analysis: not likely that he'll turn into a fanboy--he has a certain dislike of Japanese things, and is constantly mocking everything related to Japan (excluding electronics). But he is also my main 'supplier' of Arashi CDs (I use 'supplier' in the loosest sense: he orders and pays for them). Since he hasn't rejected my monthly requests of ordering Arashi stuff, I'm taking it as a good sign. And I think Yasashii Jikan will do the trick.
So, I have a request...
Does anybody have Yasashii Jikan with CHINESE subs????!!!! If you do, or know of a site where I can get it (the full series, if possible) please PM me! Onegaishimasu!!!!
It looked fun, so here's mine:
